You shouldn't—if the council's fortnightly service works for you. Your Council Tax pays for the standard service, which is fine for many. We offer a premium 'top-up' service for households that produce more waste or simply value the hygiene of a weekly clearance.

Why is the one-off collection £38?

Ad-hoc collections are logistical nightmares. We have to route a 26-tonne dustcart specifically to your house for a single stop. The subscription price is lower (£29/month) because we can plan our route efficiently around regular customers in East Preston.

Is there a contract?

Never. You sign up for the monthly plan, and it rolls over until you tell us to stop. Cancel anytime with just 24 hours' notice before your next scheduled collection.

Do I need to use special bags?

No. We empty your existing wheelie bins. If you have extra waste that doesn't fit in the bin, we can take up to 2 extra sacks per collection if they are tied securely and placed next to the bin.
